Relaxed & friendly family in Sydney

Our family lives in a quiet, leafy suburb on a peninsular 9km from the centre of Sydney. Our home is a large 6 bedroom house with a pool and table tennis table. We have 3 children all in their 30's - and all are now living away from home. We often have other travellers staying so you can expect to meet some interesting people if you stay here. We are originally from New Zealand but now love the climate and way of life in Australia, especially Sydney. The area where we live is very safe and is conveniently accessed by a bus service. The bus takes you to Victoria Cross Metro and from there it's a quick trip into the city or airport. There is also a ferry service with a limited timetable that serves our peninsular. The ferry wharf is an easy 5-10 min stroll away. It is a wonderful way to travel into the city and only takes 20 mins. You can use your Opal card or credit card on all public transport in Sydney. Our street is wide with little traffic. If you come by your own car parking is not a problem. If you are arriving at the airport I can pick you up from Crows Nest Metro station if the timing suits me. Room(s): 1. Double Room (Premium room) with Ensuite bathroom The premium room has a queen size bed, ensuite bathroom and large window. It has recently been redecorated with new paint, shutters and carpet. 1 or 2 people. Capacity: 2 Rates: 500.00 Weekly / 1900.00 Monthly 2. Single Room (#1 standard room) with Shared bathroom This room has one king single bed. It has a shared bathroom. It's on the main floor of the house. Capacity: 1 Rates: 450.00 Weekly / 1700.00 Monthly 3. Double Room (The Blue Room) with Shared bathroom This lovely light and airy room has been recently decorated. Comfortable queen bed and plenty of room if two adults want to share with a child in a separate fold-out bed. Capacity: 2 Rates: 480.00 Weekly / 1800.00 Monthly House Rules: We do not like smoking and would prefer non smoking guests. Short (5min) showers - Australia is a very dry country and we all try to conserve water. If using a heater at night please turn it off when you go to sleep. Check-in time is between 2 - 10pm unless you advise otherwise and the room is available. Additional Info: We just speak English at home but I lived in Mexico for one year so have reasonably good conversational Spanish.
