Quiet room in sustainable house

Two of us live here. There are three bedrooms. My bedroom is on the first floor front facing and the other person is in the rear bedroom facing north. The middle bedroom is for rent. My house is self-sufficient using the sun’s energy and rainwater. Living here creates no energy or water pollution. It’s the same to live in as any other house and anyone may live here just as well as anywhere else but, for example, when the light switch is turned on the energy comes from the sun. The house is well-ventilated, lots of natural light, and places to be alone or with others. Me: I’m male, vegetarian and buy direct from local farmers, and have a food garden. I don’t own a car and walk most places or use public transport. For work I teach, write and consult on sustainable projects. My books are about how to live sustainably, including how to respect our lovely Earth, ourselves and others. Laughter is my main medicine along with cooking, gardening, and staying fit. Books, poetry and music sustain me, too. The other person is a librarian. You: vegetarian, open and thoughtful, curious about life and Earth. Like to read, to use local food to cook or to eat. Single Room (Middle bedroom) with Shared bathroom This room looks down the side of the house to the sun and the back garden and where the three chooks have a safe place in their run outside the kitchen below. Payment Method: Please note that we require our guests to pay 25% of the booking total to us in advance of the booking to hold your room (on top of the 15% service fee paid to Homestay.com) Refund and cancellation Policy. Where a deposit is paid it will not be refunded for any cancellation made later than 2 weeks before the check-in date. Payment amount and arrangements for payment are agreed after the booking is made, and payment will typically be via Paypal.
