Peaceful Private Room & Bathroom

I (and my very cute, if overly exuberant, tiny hypoallergenic pup, Baxter—plus my 17-year-old son who is away at school but will occasionally visit on breaks) welcome you to share our sweet, light-filled 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom Victorian house smack in the center of the adorably quirky island of Alameda in the middle of San Francisco Bay It’s a fully furnished, stand-alone home with a large, sunny sitting room, well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar, a formal, 10-seat dining room, dishwasher, wine cooler, washer/dryer, central heat, a Juliet balcony (nestled under a tree that sounds like the ocean when the wind blows) perfect for drinking your morning coffee, bikes to explore the island and a spacious backyard made for entertaining with an irrigated vegetable garden box just waiting for a greener thumb than mine! The room itself is the only one on the main floor (the other two bedrooms are downstairs) and features a queen-sized, fold-up Murphy bed, high ceilings, a chandelier, two big, breezy windows (with screens/a dual-window fan and portable air conditioner for when it gets extra hot and central heating for the rare, chilly night) and an en-suite bathroom with a vintage sink and walk-in shower. There’s also a small desk and a fancy little loveseat in there with feathers that are a little pokey. Downstairs, in addition to the two bedrooms there is a full-sized, front-loading washing machine and dryer with plenty of laundry-supplies. Our house is at the end of a safe, friendly, pin-drop-quiet cul-du-sac in Central Alameda on a street well-stocked with lovely neighbors of all ages, not more than a 5 or 10 minute bike/car ride away from nearly anywhere on the island! Room(s): 1. Double Room (Guest Room) with Ensuite bathroom Private room on main floor w/ queen Murphy bed, desk, loveseat, breezy windows, an en-suite bathroom w/vintage sink & walk-in shower. Pocket doors can slide open to dining room make the space even more expansive. Small fridge available! Capacity: 2 Rates: Weekly / 2000.00 Monthly House Rules: I’d like to think we’re relatively easygoing—we love hosting guests and value kindness and consideration above all else. That said, please try to keep late-night noise/visitors to a minimum on school nights (especially because if Baxter hears you, he’ll make sure the whole neighborhood knows about it!) be respectful of the space itself and please, please no smoking anywhere on the property (indoors or out)! Oh!
