Your Cozy Home in Florence – Perfect for Remote Work & Art Lovers Welcome! We are a European couple—a German expat and a true, certified Florentine husband (original DOCG!). Now that our children have moved out, we miss the live energy and therefore love hosting. Over the years, we have welcomed students, professionals, and art lovers from all over the world into our spacious, stylish apartment. We love helping our guests settle into foreign country life, sharing insider tips, and making you feel truly at home abroad. To keep the atmosphere peaceful and comfortable, our rooms are strictly for single occupancy only (1 guest per room): • The "Arches" Room: A spacious, beautifully decorated bedroom with a comfortable French-size bed. • The "Toile de Jouy" Room: A charming bedroom featuring your own extra, cozy relaxation corner. • The Bathroom: Both rooms share one bathroom. To keep daily life smooth and uncrowded, we strictly limit the home to two single guests maximum (we believe sharing one bathroom among four people is just too busy!). The Ideal Setup for Single Travelers & Friends Our setup is absolutely perfect for two friends or colleagues traveling together who want to book both rooms, enjoying their own private bedrooms while sharing one bathroom. We have had wonderful experiences hosting friends this way! A quick note on pricing: Because we want to support single travelers, remote workers, and expats, we keep our rates very gentle—under €50 per night. Because this price is already highly optimized for one person, we kindly ask you to respect that we cannot accommodate couples or two people in a single room under any circumstances. Thoughtful Amenities for Your Stay • Your Private Corner: While there is no access to the main family kitchen, each room is fully equipped with its own fridge, microwave, hot water kettle, plates, and cutlery so you can easily prepare light snacks and breakfast at your own pace. • Stay Connected: Enjoy high-speed Wi-Fi, perfect for smart working or video calls. • Laundry: If you are staying with us a bit longer, we are happy to arrange access to the washing machine. • Summer: Please note we do not have air conditioning. We provide cooling fans, but Florence in July and August can get very hot, which might be a challenge if you are used to central AC! • House Harmony: To keep our home safe and comfortable, our spaces are strictly for adults (18+) and non-smokers (though you are very welcome to smoke in our beautiful front garden). We are always open to extending your stay if our calendar allows it. We can't wait to welcome you to Florence and be your helpful guides! Room(s): 1. Single Room (Arches) with Shared bathroom A nice big room with a 1 x 2 m comfortable bed, Table, 2 Chairs, Wardrobe, spacious closet and a second door which leads to the guest bath with a big shower, WC, sink and Bidet. This bathroom is shared with the Toile de Jouy room if occupied. Capacity: 1 Rates: 330.00 Weekly / 950.00 Monthly 2. Single Room (Toile de Jouy) with Shared bathroom This is a lovely room with one bed to sleep and one to chill, has a fridge, a hot water kettle and a microwave. The bath is fully equipped with shower and bidet and is shared with the Arches room if occupied. Capacity: 1 Rates: 290.00 Weekly / 800.00 Monthly House Rules: Smoking is possible only in the garden (table and chairs are there for smokers). We are sleeping on the same floor and living in the same apartment, therefore we ask simply respectful guests. There is no kitchen use. Laundry can be done by guests who are staying longer than 5 days once a week. Rauchen ist only in the garden gestattet (Tisch and Stühle stehen für Raucher bereit). Wir schlafen auf derselben Etage und wohnen in derselben Wohnung. Daher bitten wer unsere Gäste um Rücksichtnahme. Die Küche darf nicht benutzt werden. Gäste, die länger als 5 Days bleiben, können ihre Wäsche einmal pro Woche waschen.
