Welcome! I’m Joseph, and my sister Mary and I have a few rooms available in our home. ABOUT MY HOME AND LOCATION: - Sibling-owned/shared home - Working professionals in healthcare and tech - Clean, quiet, and well-maintained - One cat in the home - Respectful and considerate household - We generally keep to ourselves and value personal space - Peaceful, low-key environment Our home is near Yonge street and Hilda street. It's about 15 mins bus ride to Finch station. There's an express bus 960, and it can be as quick as 8mins. Useful locations that's walk-able (< 20 mins): - Centerpoint Mall - Asian grocery stores: Galleria, H-mart, Seasons Foodmart, and T&T - Canadian grocery stores: No Frills, FreshCo, and Metro - banks, pharmacy, medical offices, cafes, restaurants, and bars CHECK-IN DETAILS: Check-in Time: 4:00 PM Check-out Time: 12:00 PM If you require a different check-in/out time, please let us know as soon as possible so we know when to expect you PAYMENT DETAILS: A 25% deposit of the booked room fee is required within 48 hours to confirm your reservation. The deposit is fully refundable if you cancel more than 14 days before your scheduled check-in date. Within 14 days of check-in, the deposit becomes non-refundable. The remaining 75% balance will be due upon arrival. For stays longer than two months, we are happy to discuss flexible payment options. Please message us for more details. Failure to receive the deposit within 48 hours may result in cancellation of the reservation. A $10 key deposit is required at check-in and will be fully refunded when the key is returned at check-out. A $10 fee will also apply if the key is lost or if the Host is required to assist with an emergency lockout after 10:00 PM. Once you book, you will be sent the House Rules and Regulations. Shared bathroom with 2 other renters. Shared main kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, cabinets, and double sink. Shared washer and dryer available. Utilities and internet included. OR 2) Main floor room (Room #4) includes lock with key, double-size bed, table, chair, and no windows. Private ensuite bathroom. Private kitchen with 2-plate stovetop, cabinets, fridge, freezer, and single sink. Shared washer and dryer available. Utilities and internet included. Can accommodate up to 2 people for an additional fee. Please contact for more details. OR 3) Basement room (Room #5, Room #6) includes lock with key, double-size bed, table, chair, closet, and a window with blinds. Private ensuite bathroom. Shared basement kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, cabinets, island, and double sink. Shared basement washer and dryer available. Utilities and internet included. Separate side door entrance. Parking available for an additional $50/month. ABOUT THE HOSTS: We’re all working professionals in IT and healthcare. We’re a respectful, responsible, and easygoing household, and we generally keep to ourselves. We value a peaceful, clean, and comfortable home where everyone can enjoy their privacy and feel at ease. I've recently started hosting, but I'll do my best to make your stay in Toronto enjoyable and help however I can. If my schedule allows, I'm happy to assist around the house, offer local recommendations, or help with things outside the home when needed. I enjoy meeting people from different cultures. I know a little Vietnamese and am currently learning Korean and Japanese. I've also had the opportunity to travel to Vietnam, South Korea, Japan, Bali, and the United States, so I always enjoy exchanging travel stories and learning about new places. See page description for more info Capacity: 1 Rates: 250.00 Weekly / 975.00 Monthly House Rules: HOMESTAY HOUSE RULES: - Respect & Conduct: Treat Hosts, guests, students, and neighbours respectfully. Discrimination, harassment, bullying, and abusive behaviour are not tolerated. - Quiet Hours: Keep noise to a minimum from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Parties or loud gatherings require Host approval. Be aware of the time of day and be reasonable with the noise level. Everyone is either studying, working (at home), or resting during the day and/or night. - Smoking, Drugs & Alcohol: No smoking or vaping indoors. Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination. Alcohol must be consumed legally and responsibly. - Visitors: Visitors are allowed at the Host’s discretion and must follow house rules. Overnight guests require prior approval. No unauthorized person may regularly stay or occupy the room. - Safety & Security: Lock doors and windows when leaving. Do not share keys, access codes, or security information. Report maintenance or safety issues promptly. - Property Care: Take care of the home and its furnishings. Guests are financially responsible for intentional or negligent damage. Certain appliances and fire hazards are prohibited in bedrooms. - Wi-Fi & Utilities: Use Wi-Fi responsibly and legally. Conserve water and electricity. Do not adjust the thermostat without speaking to the Host. - Personal Supplies: Guests are responsible for their own toiletries and laundry supplies. - Pets: No pets without written permission. If the Host has pets, guests should not feed them or allow them into bedrooms. - Common Areas: Guests may use designated shared spaces such as the kitchen, living room, dining room, and yards. Private areas are off-limits. - Cleanliness: Keep bedrooms and common areas clean and tidy. Wash and put away dishes immediately, dispose of garbage properly, and clean up spills and messes. - Bathrooms: Leave shared bathrooms clean and dry after use. Do not flush wipes, paper towels, hygiene products, or other trash. - Kitchen: Respect other people's food and belongings. Label personal food when required and turn off appliances after use. - Laundry: Follow the assigned laundry schedule, promptly remove laundry, clean the dryer lint filter, and leave the washer door slightly open after use. - Parking: Use only your designated parking area and do not block driveways, walkways, or neighbouring properties. Parking available for an additional $50/month. - Check-In/Check-Out: Follow agreed times, return keys/access devices when leaving, and notify the Host of overnight or weekend absences for safety and security purposes. - Keys & Lockouts: A $10 fee will be charged for lost keys or if the Host needs to assist with an emergency lockout after 10:00 PM. Guests are responsible for their personal belongings. - Rule Violations: Minor violations may result in reminders or warnings. Repeated or serious violations—including violence, threats, theft, illegal activity, significant damage, or serious safety concerns—may result in termination of the homestay arrangement, subject to the agreement and applicable law. - Host Discretion: The Host may update the house rules when necessary.
