HOME AWAY FROM HOME -- 8 ks from city centre. We offer you large fully furnished private really nice room with built in large robes, king or single bed and all linen provided. Bright, clean centrally heated and air conditioning. We are a great, friendly, quality charming and gorgeous Aussie style home to stay with Aussie couple. We both have travelled widely. Joy has also taught English. If you are looking to experience an Aussie home and not just a place to live (privacy or join in) we are a large 2 storey (5 bedroom) renovated 100 year old "Australiana" home and beautiful (2 bedroom) cottage at back of our home. Three large bathrooms. Check in usually around 10am and check out 10 am however we are happy to discuss if you need earlier/later times. On arrival - - beautiful towels and soap in your room - Freshly laundered sheets, pressed doona covers and pillow slips and all linen - Use of washing machine, clothes dryer Also available is WIFI We have no children or pets here, but we love sports and take an interest in everything and love people of all cultures and love to share our relaxed way of life. GLEN HUNTLY – Zone 1 – fantastic location – close to everything - 4-8 minutes (depends on how much or how fast you walk ...lol) direct walk to train/tram, bus stops and shops and cafes - 25 minutes train ride to Melbourne city centre (8ks) (depends if train goes direct or through the city loop) - 20-25 minute tram ride (No. 67) to St Kilda beach - 10 minute bus ride to Chadstone (largest shopping centre in the southern hemisphere with shops, theatres, bowling alley etc.) - 3 minutes walk to green parks/bike tracks - 15 minutes walk direct to outdoor/indoor swimming pools and tennis courts and gymnasium/sauna FOOD - We used to include our breakfast complimentary and dinners however as food prices have rapidly increased in Melbourne we also make available - ** Small breakfast can be included in your homestay or alternatively full breakfast with – juice, fruit, tea/coffee (coffee machine – Lavazza coffee), cereal, toasts, cheeses and eggs of $10 per day per person **Beautiful home cooked Dinner can be had some nights - buffet style help yourself (as per our picture) – $20 per night per person. Alternatively- if you would like bring some food in or dine out - up to you. Use of our well equipped kitchen is available for you to make your own food. *We also give you lots of suggestions of available of places to visit and where you can book and how to get there 1) You are welcome to help yourself to tea/coffee at all times 2) Included washing done / Irons, ironing board you can use complimentary 3) Complimentary - DVD/CD library (heaps of varied music) and huge Book library , also (avid collection of movies –current and great selection) to view 4) Complimentary use of hairdryers NOTE: ** We have had to include a $60 final Cleaning Fee on leaving your room (per bedroom used) prior to checking out. We ask for this together with your full payment on arrival day of your stay. We do not have credit card facilities and prefer cash on the day of your arrival please. Capacity: 1 Rates: 364.00 Weekly / 1560.00 Monthly House Rules: Payment Method - THANK YOU ** ALL GUESTS must give us at least 14 days notice for ANY cancellation. Any cancellation later than this will not be refunded and MUST be paid - as we have turned other bookings away to hold your booking for you. ** If your booking is longer than 3 months we require our guests to pay 10% of the booking total to us in advance to hold your room. If staying a long length of time with us banking details can be discussed... with thanks. **Full payment of the Homestay is to be paid on the first day on arrival, IN CASH along with passport or licence details . Note we DO NOT have CREDIT CARD facility. Please discuss with us. **Homestay.com charges a 15% service fee which is a payment to them and nothing to do with our payment). General house cleanliness- rooms are expected to be kept clean Please do not invite strangers into our home; if you would like to invite a friend over just agree it with us in advance We are really happy when you offer "Is there anything I can do to help especially around the home" - it's always appreciated - things like empty the dishwasher, or any little thing.
