Security
• Always lock the front door when leaving the apartment.
• Check the door handle before leaving to confirm it is locked.
Quiet Hours
• Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Aaron's bedroom is directly next to the kitchen and the front door.
• If the kitchen or front door is used during the night it will wake the host.
• For this reason the kitchen must not be used after 10:00 PM.
• Prepare water, snacks, or anything needed before 10:00 PM.
• If returning home late enter quietly and close the door gently.
Kitchen Hours
• The kitchen closes at 10:00 PM.
• Prepare drinks, water or snacks before 10:00 PM.
• The kitchen must not be used after 10:00 PM.
Breakfast
• Breakfast is self serve.
• Available breakfast food includes toast, strawberry jam and peanut butter.
• Guests may eat as much toast as they like.
• Bread is stored in the cupboard and may be placed in the freezer if it will not be used within a few days.
After Breakfast
• Wash the plate immediately after eating.
• Dry the plate.
• Return the plate to the cupboard.
• Wipe the kitchen bench.
Ice
• If ice is taken from the tray refill the tray with water.
• Ensure the ice is fully frozen before turning the knobs to release it.
Coasters
• Use coasters for cold drinks to prevent condensation from dripping onto furniture or countertops.
• Coasters should also be used in bedrooms.
Dinner Clean Up
• The person who cooks dinner does not clean the kitchen.
• The people who eat the meal clean the kitchen afterwards.
Kitchen Cleaning After Cooking
• Use Easy Off Bam cleaner located under the kitchen sink with the other cleaning products.
• Use the blue cloth with white dots for kitchen surface cleaning.
• Clean the stovetop, tiles behind the stove, oil splashes near the cooking area, kitchen benches, kitchen sink and under the dish drying rack.
• Wipe cupboard doors, drawer handles, the fridge handle and any appliances that were touched.
Cleaning Cloth System
• Blue cloth with white dots for kitchen surface cleaning.
• Blue microfiber cloth for bathroom sink cleaning and removing hair.
• Yellow cloth and yellow scrubber for washing dishes and removing oil from plates.
• Old towel in the bathroom for drying the bathroom floor after showers.
Bathroom Rules
• Check the toilet before leaving the bathroom and clean it if necessary using the toilet brush.
• Toilet cleaning products are located under the bathroom sink.
• Wipe water from the sink and remove any hair from the sink or surfaces.
• After showering dry the bathroom floor using the floor towel.
• Each guest should use one towel per week and wash it with their bed sheets on Saturday.
Shower
• The shower head must remain in its holder.
• It may be moved slightly left or right to test water temperature.
• It must not be removed or used as a hand shower because it may break.
Laundry
• Wait until the washing machine is full before running it.
• Hang washing outside to dry.
• Collect washing on the same day it dries.
• Return the peg basket to the top of the fridge freezer in the kitchen.
Saturday Cleaning
• Strip bed sheets and wash them.
• Hang sheets outside to dry.
• Pick up all items from the bedroom floor and place chairs or items on the bed so the RoboVac can clean the floor.
• When sheets are dry fold them return them to the same place they were taken from and make the bed.
Bedroom Dusting
• Use the duster located on top of the fridge every Saturday to remove dust from bedroom surfaces.
Vacating the Room
• When leaving permanently the room must be returned in the same clean condition as when it was received.
• Wipe all surfaces using the blue bucket stored on top of the kitchen cupboards.
Cleaning Spills and Broken Glass
• Small spills use paper towels located in the pantry.
• For broken glass or dirt on the floor use the broom located next to the fridge.
• A dustpan and hand broom are located under the sink hanging on the right side with the cleaning products.
• Large spills use the mop located behind the washing machine in the bathroom and the red bucket stored above the kitchen cupboards.
• Fill the bucket with hot water in the kitchen sink and add floor cleaner located under the sink.
Rubbish
• General waste goes into the large bin outside.
• Recycling and bottles go into the yellow bins near the main bin.
